Hello, my name is Lisette. Initially, I had planned to start out with one simple tattoo session with Grin Stylez. Little did I know this one session would lead into a back to back year long project. I ended up becoming tattooed from literally ear to toe. As my favorite saying goes, Go big or go home!
To me, my tattoo journey has become a personal form of therapy. It has allowed me to display my inner strength and resilience. Unfortunately, my past has been filled with a series of tragic ordeals. Everything that was near and dear to my heart was abruptly taken from me overnight. Everything I thought I knew was turned upside down. As a result of this dark period in my life, I was forced to rebuke a new life, not only for me but for my children. Like a lotus flower, I was reborn.
Through the adversity, I rose and found my inner strength and conquered every hardship until I was able to claim my peace. Despite the struggles, I am filled with gratitude for the lessons these obstacles taught me. I have found my voice and the superpowers that I never imagined I would have.
While rebuilding my new life and fighting through challenges, I remained a warrior, without ever losing the softness, the purity and the Goddess that lives within me.
As a corporate healthcare manager, I was hesitant about getting heavily tattooed at first and I was worried about what people would say. I’m so glad I went with my decision regardless as it not only has boosted my confidence, but I feel beautiful again, I feel seen. I feel I can tell my story and most importantly, I feel Bad Ass!
I would like to give a special thanks to Grin Stylez for helping me create my vision and manifesting it into reality. I desired my pieces to be as feminine, soft and dainty as possible and he effortlessly made it happen. He is extremely professional and he excels at his craft. He is just not just a regular tattoo artist but he is now someone I can call a friend.
