Summarizing Grin Stylez' accomplishments and failures is almost impossible to do. With as many accomplished opportunities, there has been as many disappointing failures. But riding through the up and downs of making your personal dreams a reality, makes the journey worth while. Having talent was his main source of ambition and inspiration as he decided to stop day dreaming about his dreams and become his dream by utilizing his talents and gifts for a better way of life, stating "the gift that I was blessed with can easily become the curse that condemns me and my family to a lifetime of regrets".
In 2008 Grin Stylez branched out from his private studio in the Bronx to a "Welcome All" studio in midtown manhattan. Continuing to carry his borough on his back, he decided to name his studio..."The Fort Apache Studio". Fort Apache is a well known district in the Bronx that's notoriously known for its high rate of violence, drugs and money. Grin Stylez was dedicated raised by his mother in the prime era of this mayhem, even through all that destructive & negative environment it has helped him in some sort to become a level headed young man he is today.
Years have passed since beginning a journey in which he thought would be easy to be creatively successful since there were no obstacles in his way, beside's to "focus". He soon learned life presented the next new challenge in his path. At the age of 16, Grin Stylez welcomed his first born to the world and decided to start walking the walk he often spoke about. While other teens were working on a summer youth job provided by the city , Mr.. Stylez landed a job with Universal Pictures, his first opportunity that ignited his passions and fueled the fire to his creative battle. He was ecstatic with each passing day that passed being surrounded by actors, producers and directors, pondering to himself, "how can I truly benefit from this opportunity"? Choosing to be productive in his new opportunity, he soon met a legal consultant affiliated with the production company and she proceeded to help Mr. Stylez start his own non profit organization named "Mute". After several months of red tape cutting and many discouraging moments, Grin Stylez decided to abandoned the project. However prior to leaving the non profit, Mr.. Stylez alongside his daughter and supporters succeeded in raising 2 million dollars in donations from different company's and corporation's for Mute. "Letting go of a project so promising was really difficult for me, but that was only an early lesson in life for me" he states.
After being exposed to many types of people from all different walks of life for a short period of time, helped him realize and see that we all have equal opportunities in being successful. Some people have a smaller window of opportunity to make a situation benefit them, then others.
"My next opportunity finally presented itself and I ran with it", he recalls. A very simple call from someone he admired was a strong boost that gave Grin Stylez the will power to control all of his creative movements and making sure that everyone knows about him. "The simplest things in life, some people need it" is a quote he lives by. That was "Capital Punishment Year"!
So much has happened since "the capital punishment years". His daughter is a young lady now & he's added two more addition to his family with a set of twin boys. Now the strive has only intensified his hunger and his drive so much more stronger. All the hard work equals success that perspires out and reeks through his pores more now then ever before. "I tell everyone making comments about me making it...I ask them, made it where? I have to work everyday to make sure my kids eat and I maintain my sanity, besides, success to me is a journey not a destination".
Sensing his extreme humbleness while speaking through the eyes of confidence, "I am very happy to have anyone consider me to tattoo them, or even work with me for that matter. I appreciate everything from the smallest compliment to my largest critic. Rough days are expected and are welcomed as well. Their are a lot of people in really misfortunes situations that I personally wouldn't be able to handle. I have been blessed...I also knew that when I started my business everything would change, family and friends would play the back seat for the majority of the journey"...The music stopped playing @ that very moment he made that statement. I had so much in mind from being inspired by Mr.. Stylez that he immediately proceeded to say, "you hear that"? My face went blank as no words could formulate in my mind, he continued, "your thoughts are trying to get your attention, attend to them...that's enough about me, I have to get back to work".
